A Tummy Tuck is a popular procedure that is often carried out with aesthetically pleasing results.
Carrying it out using robotic assistance has the following benefits:
For best results, Dr Marco may recommend liposuction and other complementary procedures to be performed together in some cases.
All consultations will be kept strictly confidential in our warm and comfortable office.
Most patients see results immediately and are back on their feet quickly.
Tummy Tucks are suitable for both men and women, and often produce very satisfactory results.
Prior to the tummy tuck, you will have an initial consultation with Dr Marco where he will answer any questions you may have about the procedure.
On top of that, Dr Marco will discuss your cosmetic goals with you and also provide information on any other technique that you may prefer over the tummy tuck.
During the tummy tuck process, you will be under general anaesthesia and Dr Marco removes excess skin and fat tissue while tightening the abdominal walls.
Dr Marco has varying forms of abdominoplasties in his repertoire. Should you be unsuitable for a robotic abdominoplasty, Dr Marco will advise you accordingly on another form of abdominoplasty. This will depend on:
A minimal of 1 to 3 days stay in the hospital is recommended. You are advised to stay quiet for the next 10 to 14 days and you are able to go back to work within 10 to 14 days (depends on the individual) and you can resume light exercise after 3 weeks. Any vigorous exercise such as playing tennis or running marathons, after 4 to 6 months is recommended.
You are also advised to wear a support garment for the first 2 to 3 weeks, or longer to help reduce the swelling.
Costs incurred from a tummy tuck surgery may be eligible for insurance claims, for instance for surgery components such as the repair of rectus diastasis as well as the repair of umbilical hernia. Insurance criteria for approval for tummy tuck surgery vary from insurance company to insurance company. Contact your insurance company for specific details, criteria, and requirements of eligibility for insurance claims.
Although it is best recommended for one to complete having children before undergoing a tummy tuck abdominoplasty surgery, there are cases of exceptions especially for those who have lost severe weight ( due to post bariatric ) or other reasons.
Yes, you are able to get pregnant after a tummy tuck/abdominoplasty. But we do advise you to wait until at least after 1 year after your tummy tuck/abdominoplasty to get pregnant again.
This procedure is suitable for both males and females.
